Citizenship Essay
- High School: Carly Stephens, Westfield HS; Elliot Eggan, TJHSST;
- Middle School: Stephanie Phillips, South County
- Secondary: Pierce Eggan, Frost MS. Pierce Eggan also won
3rd Place in the Virginia PTA
competition which entitles him to a $250 savings bond.

- Kristen Stephens, Dance Choreography – Intermediate 5th Grade, Canterbury ES,
for her special dance of “Believe”
- Amiee Cho, Dance Choreography – Middle/Jr. 7th Grade, Kilmer MS, for
her great interpretive dance of “Random Kindness”
- Alex Park, Visual Art – Middle/Jr. 7th Grade, Kilmer MS, for his multi
faceted vision of “Start out with small deeds of love”
- Sarah Crossland, Dance Choreography – 12th Grade, Westfield HS, for her
interpretation of “…seeing the color of life: Colorblind”
District Volunteer of the Year Winners:

Outstanding Achievement Award
Lisa Kenworthy, Haycock ES
National PTA Unit Achievement Award
- Delia Valentine, PTA President, on behalf of Colin Powell ES
PTA, accepted the National PTA Unit Achievement Award presented by Kimberly
Barnes-O'Connor, Deputy Executive Director.
An award of appreciation was presented to Nassmah Brooks, PTSA President,
TJHSST, for their support with sponsoring district events and board meetings
this past year.
Special Recognitions

Much appreciation to the City of Fairfax Parks and
Recreations for assisting with arranging the Old Town Hall for the event.

The District would like to thank the following Fairfax Art League
