Northern Virginia District PTA

Greetings from the District Director

Dear PTA Presidents,

Our district would like to wish you good luck as you begin the new school year.  We understand how exciting and sometimes even overwhelming the beginning of school can be for a PTA leader.  We want to let you know that the Northern Virginia District PTA is here to support and assist your PTA throughout the year. 

Also, please look for our electronic district newsletter, OneVoice, and forward it on to your executive board.  Our goal is to let our district PTAs know of upcoming events, required submission dates, and opportunities for PTA recognition on the district, state, and national level.  Please use any information provided in your own PTA newsletter.  OneVoice will be sent to the president’s email address provided to the Virginia PTA by June 15 .  If there are changes in the president’s contact information throughout the year, please email us at info@novadistrictpta.org to notify us of the change so your unit leadership will continue to receive this valuable communications tool.  We periodically send special notices and event updates, so having current contact information will make sure your unit has the most up to date information from the district.

If your PTA has a web site, please provide a link to our district web site, the Virginia PTA, and the National PTA web sites in order to offer your school community the opportunity to learn more about PTA programs and how these can benefit your membership. Also, you can request your PTA web site be added to the Virginia PTA web site.

Thank you so much for serving the students in your school and please know that what you do everyday for PTA impacts all the students in our district and throughout Virginia.  Have a great year!
